ContentNo I haven't dropped off of the face of the earth or anything drastic like that. I've just been a little bit busy with school work. And a little case of journaling-writer's block didn't help much either.
Anyway, I thought I'd stop in and wish everybody Happy Holidays. Mine have been nice so far. Pretty quiet, but nice. I've been to see two movies down the hill and I got World of Warcraft for Christmas. The world is good. I also thought I would share some awesome finds with you all.
A.F.#.1 (awesome find number 1): I have discovered the awesomeness that is OC tournaments. If you have appreciation for good story-telling, awesome characters, and a well thought out fight scene you should specifically seek out The Endzone tournament. The tournament's pretty much over now and we're just waiting for 'endling' (the host of the tournament) to finish up the finale, but you can still go find the comics from it. In particular I suggest looking for 'Unknown-person''s stuff with his/her character Climber. He's so cute and good natured I just want to hug him!
*Ahem* anyway, Unknown-person writes some awesome comics and his flash videos are a joy to watch. If I understand correctly, the deal with OC tournaments are that you make a comic (or flash video)of you're character in a set up tournament. There are set matches, like in a real tournament and the winner of each match is decided based on the quality of the work and of the story-telling. The Host people come up with the setting and the goal of the tournament (I think the goal is usually getting a wish of some kind granted, could be wrong.) The Endzone takes place in an Asylum for fairy-tale characters that have undergone 'fantastical trauma'. The OC are invited (or coerced) into participating by this creepy, phantom-like Big Bad Wolf. I read/watched through Climbers story before realizing I could go read other people's comics too. Lan-kun's Dood Palette is one cool character as well. So go look.
A.F.#.2. (awesome find number 2): I have also found a funny Web Comic called Head Trip. It's done by an artist here on Deviant whose name is Shinga. Go find her stuff too.
